Sobyanin declared October the month of Moscow industry

In October 2025, the capital will host a series of events dedicated to the development and achievements of Moscow's industrial sector. This was announced by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin in his channel on the IACH.

Today, more than 4,500 enterprises operate in the industry, and about 150 new high-tech companies open annually. Industrial enterprises employ over 750,000 people, which is one in ten working residents of the city. The mayor emphasized.

"The products produced in the capital are supplied to friendly countries. The heart of the urban industry is the SEZ "Technopolis Moscow, where more than 230 high—tech enterprises operate," said Sobyanin.

A number of key events are planned to take place during the month. The annual Mosprom Sports Contest, which includes competitions in 14 sports, will traditionally be held. It will be attended by employees of enterprises, as well as students of specialized universities and colleges.

Moscow Industry Day will be held on October 7. The program includes a festive concert and an award ceremony for honored industry workers.

Special attention will be paid to industrial design issues. For the first time, an educational program will be organized within the framework of the national award "The Best Industrial Design of Russia" — a series of weekly lectures by leading experts.

Innovative projects have been prepared for young professionals. At the "City of the Future" hackathon, the teams will develop solutions for the facilities of the Technopolis Moscow special economic zone and the Skolkovo innovation Center. Another event will be the All-Russian hackathon "Open#Mosprom", aimed at creating new technological and management solutions for the capital's industry.

The Month of Moscow Industry will become a platform for demonstrating the industry's capabilities, sharing experiences and attracting young professionals to one of the key areas of the city's economy.
