The Russian Academy of Sciences reported on the rotation of the dangerous region of the Sun towards the Earth

The active region of the Sun 4197, which has accumulated significant energy, has turned in the direction of the Earth and will pose the greatest danger to the planet during its existence. This was announced on August 30 at the Laboratory of Solar Astronomy at the Institute of Space Research (IKI) of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

"Active region 4197, whose rapid growth and exceptional size are now attracting the attention of all the world's space weather centers, reached the central solar meridian tonight, that is, exactly on the Sun—Earth line," the laboratory's Telegram channel says.
