Belousov announced the optimization of expenses of the Russian Ministry of Defense

This year, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation has managed to optimize financial costs. This was announced on August 29 by Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov at a meeting of the board of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"I especially want to note the achievements of the financial sector. This year, we managed to optimize financial expenses. As a result, the volume of arms purchases has not been reduced, and all obligations regarding monetary allowances for military personnel, appropriate social benefits and benefits are being fulfilled," the minister said.

Belousov said that at the December board in 2024, the ninth priority area for optimizing the internal management processes of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation was identified. Since the beginning of the year, a project management system adapted to military specifics has been introduced.

According to Belousov, as a result of cost optimization, it was possible to stabilize the burden of the military budget on the country's economy.
