The analyst called the most illiquid crossover in Russia
Among the popular crossovers with mileage in Russia, the BMW X5 turned out to be the most illiquid. Sergey Tselikov, director of the Autostat analytical agency, told about this in his Telegram channel on August 29. The expert used the prices before removing the ad from sale on the three leading classifieds as the basis for calculations, the average value is calculated by the year of issue.
The conditional residual value of the BMW X5 is 24%. Currently, a 2022 car sells for an average of 9.2 million rubles. You can buy this 2012 model for an average of 2.2 million rubles.
"The loss of 7 million rubles in 10 years is impressive. But the explanation is simple. Rich Russians buy such cars. They change them to new ones quite often. As a result, 10-15 year-old cars end up in the hands of poor car enthusiasts. And it "costs a lot to keep them at this age," the analyst noted.
The Honda CR-V topped the liquidity rating. A 2022 car can now be bought for an average of just over 3 million rubles, while a 2012 car sells for an average of 1.69 million rubles, with a notional residual value of 56%.
The Nissan X-Trail came in second place with 47% (2.8 million and 1.32 million rubles). Among the leaders with similar indicators (43-44%) Also included are the Mitsubishi Outlander, Nissan Qashqai, Toyota Land Cruiser Prado and Renault Duster. Next are the Toyota RAV4, Hyundai Tucson and Santa Fe (42-39%). Volkswagen Tiguan and Kia Sorento (37-36%) are on the last lines, ahead of BMW X5.
Earlier, on August 28, it was reported that the leader of the rating of the most popular crossovers in the Russian secondary market for the first seven months of 2025 is the Toyota RAV4, excluding the VAZ Niv in the SUV segment.
