The ashes of composer Rodion Shchedrin, along with those of his wife, ballerina Maya Plisetskaya, will be scattered over Russia. This was announced on August 29 by Leonid Peleshev, Secretary General of the Plisetskaya and Shchedrin International Foundation.

"Rodion Konstantinovich's ashes will be scattered over Russia along with those of Maya Mikhailovna Plisetskaya in accordance with his will," TASS quoted him as saying.
