"Red Silk" became a hit at the SCO Film Week in China

Moscow and Beijing are developing cooperation in the cultural sphere, and cinematographers are working especially closely. Thus, the retrodetective "Red Silk" became a hit during the week of the best film and television projects of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) countries in Qingdao. The film is also one of the highest-grossing films of the year in Russia. The film will be released in China in early September.

"We have taken overclocking in projects so much that we will not be able to slow down so quickly. Therefore, I think the echo of this cultural and historical connection between Russia and China will continue," says Alexandra Shushlina, author of the podcast about China.

So, the retroblockbuster, which in terms of sophistication of style, aesthetics and intensity, attention to nuances, is already on a par with the masterpieces of Guy Ritchie and Quentin Tarantino.

"We tried to create these characters based on Chinese realities as much as we could, and our screenwriter read several books, classics of Chinese literature," said creative producer Olga Kashirina.

Krasny Silk was created with the participation of NMG Kinoprokat (part of the National Media Group (NMG) holding). On the Chinese side, the Media Corporation of China (China Media Group, CMG) provides support in the promotion.

On August 27, it was reported that "Red Silk" became the headliner of the SCO Film Week in Qingdao. The film will premiere in China at the main cinema of China Film Group on September 4, and it will be released in China on the 6th. Cinity technology is going to be used at the screening, which allows for full immersion in the film.
