The lawyer warned of a fine of up to 3 million rubles for picking some mushrooms.
For picking mushrooms, Russians can receive a fine of up to 3 million rubles and imprisonment if the species is listed in the Red Book. Lawyer Ilya Rusyaev told about it on August 29.
Rusyaev noted that the legislation allows Russians to collect wild mushrooms for free for their own needs on the lands of the forest fund, but there are restrictions. For example, citizens can be fined from 500 to 1 thousand rubles for illegal collection in specially protected natural areas. At the same time, ignorance of the status of the protected area will not exempt from payments, the lawyer noted.
According to him, the collection of species listed in the Red Book may result in a fine of 2.5 thousand to 5 thousand rubles with confiscation of the collected. If the premeditation of intent is proven, law enforcement officers will apply an article of the Criminal Code with a penalty of up to four years in prison and a fine of up to 1 million rubles.
Also, in case of group actions, using official position or the Internet for sale, you can face up to nine years in prison with a fine of up to 3 million rubles.
"Mushrooms containing narcotic substances constitute a special category. For their purchase, storage or transportation, a fine of 4 thousand to 5 thousand rubles or administrative arrest for up to 15 days is provided," Rusyaev said in an interview withLenta.ru ".
