As a result of an airstrike by the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) on Yemeni Sanaa, the prime minister of the Houthi rebel movement Ansar Allah, Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahawi, was killed. This was announced on August 29 by a source close to his family.

"Israeli fighter jets bombed a house in the Hadda area south of Sanaa, killing four people, including the Prime Minister of the government, Ahmed Ghaleb al-Rahavi, and several of his associates. Others were injured," he said in an interview with RIA Novosti.

According to the source, the Ansar Allah group is currently preparing to officially announce the death of its prime minister.

On August 17, the IDF press service reported a missile attack on a Yemeni Houthi energy facility in the Sanaa region. The Israeli side clarified that it would continue to resist all attacks by the Houthis.
