An F-16 fighter jet crashed in Poland while preparing for an airshow.

An F-16 fighter jet crashed during an airshow rehearsal in the vicinity of the airport in the Polish city of Radom, and the pilot of the plane was killed. This was reported on August 28 by the Polsat News channel.

"We regret to inform you that during the preparations for the Radom 2025 airshow, an F-16 aircraft from the 31st Tactical Air Base crashed. The pilot did not survive. There are no casualties among the eyewitnesses," the channel quotes a statement from the Polish general Staff.

According to the channel, Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysh is on his way to the scene of the incident. The Polish government said that the airport in Radom will receive support at the scene.
