US President Donald Trump is unhappy with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky and Europe because of their unrealistic demands to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The Atlantic magazine writes about this on August 28, citing unnamed officials.

"Trump expressed some disappointment with Zelensky and Europe, believing that they are unrealistic in their demands and should recognize that Ukraine must lose part of its territory in order to end the conflict," the article says.

According to the newspaper, Trump does not want to alienate supporters inside the country by his actions regarding the Ukrainian conflict. According to one of the officials, the American leader just wants the confrontation to end.

It is also noted that the Europeans complain that they do not know the details of the negotiations between Russia and the United States to resolve the crisis.

Earlier, on August 19, Trump noted that both the transfer of Crimea to Ukraine and its accession to NATO were impossible. According to the American leader, the rejection of these two conditions will allow Zelensky to immediately end the conflict with the Russian Federation.

On August 26, Trump said he did not consider Zelensky innocent of the conflict. According to the head of the White House, his relations with Russian President Vladimir Putin are "very, very good," but relations with Zelensky, although they are "normal," have changed a lot. This, according to Trump, was due to the fact that the United States stopped directly financing Ukraine.
