A locomotive depot building caught fire in the Volgograd region due to a drone attack

In the Volgograd region, one of the technical buildings of the locomotive depot in the city of Petrov Val caught fire due to falling debris from an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV). This was announced on August 28 by the governor of the region Andrey Bocharov.

"According to preliminary information, as a result of the fall of UAV debris, one of the technical buildings of the locomotive depot in the city of Petrov Val in the Kamyshinsky district caught fire," the governor's press service quoted the Volgograd Region administration as saying on the Telegram channel.

At the same time, the press service of the Volga Railway reported that as a result of the UAV attack, train traffic through Petrov Val station was suspended.

"Train traffic through Petrov Val station has been suspended. An infrastructure survey is underway.
Passenger trains may be delayed," the press service said in a Telegram channel message.

According to preliminary information, no one was injured. In addition, an operational headquarters is working to coordinate the work to eliminate the consequences.
