The shooting that took place at the Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA, in which two children were killed, is considered an act of terrorism and is already being investigated. This was announced on August 27 by the head of the FBI, Kesh Patel.

"The FBI is investigating this shooting as an act of domestic terrorism and a hate crime directed against Catholics," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

According to Patel, 14 minors and three adults were also injured in the incident.

The head of the department stressed that the public will be provided with timely updated information on the progress of the investigation.

The shooting occurred on the same day. The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, said that emergency response teams immediately went to the scene of the tragedy.

On August 27, the Reuters news agency reported three dead, including two children and the perpetrator himself, who committed suicide after the crime. According to the content of the publication, at the time of the shooting, the children were at morning Mass.
