A six-year-old boy survived after falling from the window of the eighth floor of an apartment building on Barnaul Street in Omsk. This was announced on August 27 by the press service of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Omsk region.

They noted that the mother and grandmother were at home with the child, who "lay down to rest."

"The boy, left unattended, independently opened the window in the kitchen — there was only a handle on it in the apartment, and fell down," the department's Telegram channel says.

As a result of the incident, the child was diagnosed with severe injuries and is currently under medical supervision. According to the Interior Ministry, the family had not previously been registered with the police. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

On August 15, a five-year-old child fell out of an apartment window on the ninth floor of a residential building on Chertanovskaya Street in Moscow, and the boy died on the spot. The press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office clarified that the boy approached the open window, leaned on the mosquito net and fell out.
