China Central Television (CCTV) reported on August 26 that Beijing authorities evacuated more than 50,000 people due to heavy rains. It was clarified that in five districts, including Mentougou, Fangshan, Changping, Huairou and Yanqing, emergency flood control measures of the first level were launched. 200,000 people are on duty in Beijing to respond to possible floods in a timely manner.
