An unknown assailant attacked two men with a knife in Pushkin Square in St. Petersburg. This was announced on August 27 by a source of Izvestia.

"Three young men were sitting on a bench, and one of them suddenly attacked the other two," the source said.

According to him, the incident occurred on the evening of August 26. The injured were handed over to medics with stab wounds. Law enforcement agencies detained the 18-year-old attacker. An inspection is underway.

Earlier that day, a man of foreign origin attacked police officers with a knife at one of the houses on Shchelkovsky Highway in Moscow. Thanks to the actions of law enforcement agencies, no one was injured. Currently, investigators have opened a criminal case against the attacker.
