Ex-policeman arrested in Kamensk-Uralsky kidnapping case

A former police officer has been charged with extortion in a criminal case of kidnappings committed in Kamensk-Uralsky. This was announced on August 26 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Sverdlovsk region in the Telegram channel.

"According to the investigation, the accused, holding the position of inspector of the Kamensk-Uralsky traffic police department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, was at the same time a member of a criminal group that committed a series of abductions of citizens in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky, including for mercenary reasons, against minors, using violence against them. to the victims," the message says.

The accomplices moved the abductees to a car wash located on Karl Marx Street. There, physical violence was used against the victims of abductions. In addition, the defendants presented them with property claims.

The arrested policeman was involved in two kidnappings. According to the materials of the criminal case, he beat up underage boys, and also passed information to the gang leader about the search activities.

According to the report, the accused was taken into custody. At the moment, 14 accomplices have been brought to criminal responsibility in the case, three of whom are minors. The criminals were charged under Articles 126 of the Criminal Code ("Kidnapping"), 163 of the Criminal Code ("Extortion"), 213 of the Criminal Code (Hooliganism"), Article 133 of the Criminal Code ("Coercion to sexual acts") and Article 139 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal entry into a home").

Earlier, on February 21, the prosecutor's office of the Sverdlovsk region reported that three men had bullied a 17-year-old and an 18-year-old girl.
