The Russian Foreign Ministry pointed to attempts by Kiev and the EU to negate the agreements between Russia and the United States.

Kiev and Europe have embarked on leveling the agreements reached in Anchorage and their subsequent revision. This was announced on August 26 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs following a meeting between Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkey to the Russian Federation Tanju Bilgic.

It is noted that the diplomats discussed the situation in Ukraine, taking into account the meeting between the presidents of Russia and the United States, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, in Alaska.

"The unconstructive line of the Kiev regime and its European sponsors, who have taken a course towards leveling the agreements reached following the meeting in Anchorage and their subsequent revision, was emphasized," the Russian Foreign Ministry's website says.

During the talks, the parties also confirmed their commitment to further develop fruitful cooperation between the Russian Federation and Turkey, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said on August 24 that Russia hopes that attempts by Western countries to interfere with the Ukrainian settlement process will not be successful.
