Khabarovsk customs officers found a crocodile's head in the luggage of a tourist who came from Vietnam. This was reported on August 26 in the Telegram channel of the Federal Customs Service (FCS) of Russia.

"The inspectors found the exotic goods in the Russian's suitcase using an X-ray machine during a random inspection," the report says.

According to the tourist, he purchased a crocodile head for his personal collection. At the same time, he did not know about the need to declare.

The examination also confirmed that this is a real head of a crested crocodile. The species of this animal falls under the CITES Convention.

Two cases were opened on the incident under Article 16.3 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Non-compliance with prohibitions and restrictions") and Part 1 of Article 16.2 of the Administrative Code of the Russian Federation ("Non-declaration of goods"). The offender faces a fine and confiscation of the goods.

Earlier, on June 2, customs officers at Sheremetyevo Airport found marijuana marmalade in the luggage of a Russian tourist arriving from Bangkok. It is specified that the prohibited cargo was suspected by a service dog named Egoza, who showed interest in the suitcase on the tape that seemed suspicious to her.
