Anton Alikhanov, Head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, tested a new model of the Chinese electric minivan Lixiang Mega during a visit to the Li Auto production site in China. The car is being prepared to enter the Russian market, the Ministry of Industry and Trade announced on its Telegram channel on August 26.

"[It feels] good. I've driven it before, but it's a new model. The Mega is more of a family car. It's a clean electric train, but I've driven hybrids. Super-quiet, like all of them, the sound insulation is good. It accelerates very quickly," Alikhanov shared his impressions and asked the Chinese experts about the power reserve of the model.

If you drive along the highway at a speed of 120 km / h, the power reserve will be about 500 km. The average range of the Lixiang Mega is up to 700 km, they told him.

In China, the facelifted Lixiang Mega entered the market in March of this year at a price starting from 529.9 thousand yuan (about 6 million rubles in translation). Mega is considered the most expensive model in the brand's lineup. The cabin has three rows of seats with separate armchairs in the middle row and a triple rear sofa. All separate seats have a massage function, and a 17-inch display is provided for second-row passengers. The twin-engine power plant with a capacity of 544 hp allows you to accelerate to "hundreds" in 5.5 seconds.

Earlier, on August 21, it was reported that as of the beginning of July this year, there were more than 72 thousand plug-in hybrid vehicles (PHEVs) in Russia. This is almost a quarter more than at the beginning of the year (57.9 thousand units). The most common PHEV brand in the Russian fleet is Lixiang with a share of more than 44%.
