Maxim Kondratiev, founder of the unmanned aviation training center and corresponding member of the Russian Engineering Academy, said that Russian "mother drones" are capable of invisibly traveling long distances and hitting AFU targets in Kharkiv, Sumy and Zaporizhia.

In conversation with aif.ru On Monday, August 25, the expert explained that FPV drones have a limited range, and they are vulnerable to electronic warfare on the front line. This problem is solved by the "mother drone": FPV drones are attached to it, and, moving at high altitude and speed, it crosses the line of contact, enters the enemy's rear and drops the drones.

According to Kondratiev, the "mother drone" also acts as a repeater of control channels and video signals. Thanks to the "operator — mother — drone" scheme and feedback, the system works much more efficiently.

Earlier in the day, the Russian Ministry of Defense showed the work of the Rubicon center's FPV drones, which hit AFU equipment, communications and electronic warfare equipment, shelters and personnel deployment points, RT writes.

On August 24, it was reported that the cannon artillery crews of the Vostok group of forces destroyed a mortar and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR).
