- Tennis and stretching have outperformed fitness clubs four times in terms of revenue growth
The revenue of entrepreneurs who own tennis courts and provide stretching services increased by 82% and 68%, respectively, in the first half of 2025, outstripping the revenues of fitness clubs by four times. This information follows from the data of the YCLIENTS business process automation platform, which was reviewed by Izvestia on August 25.
The total revenue of the sports sector, according to the service, increased by 21.1%. In addition to tennis (+82.23%) and stretching (+67.93%), the growth leaders include dance schools (+58.79%), game sports (+50.71%), fitness clubs (+21.47%), yoga studios (+15.72%), sports schools and sections (+13.72%).
The average check in the industry increased by 7.52%. However, some categories have significantly higher rates. For example, the increase in the cost of the average check for tennis and squash classes increased by 31.75% compared to the same period in 2024.
The payment behavior of customers has also changed significantly — Russians increasingly prefer cashless payment for training sessions. Thus, the share of non-cash payments, on average, increased by 12.63%, and the number of prepayments increased by 38.6%.
Avito Services reported to Izvestia on June 20 that interest in yoga classes in Russia has increased by 45% this year. Representatives of the service clarified that Omsk began to engage in this practice the most, as demand there increased 2.5 times. In addition, yoga was more often practiced in Kazan (+100%) and Krasnodar (+90%).
