Two people died as a result of a bus collision with an elephant in Uganda
Two people were killed when a bus collided with an elephant in Uganda as it was traveling from Gulu to Kampala. This was reported by the New Vision newspaper on August 25.
According to the newspaper, the bus hit an elephant that had accidentally left Murchison Falls National Park and was crossing the road. As a result of the accident, the bus driver and the passenger sitting behind him were killed.
Six passengers with serious injuries were taken to Gulu Regional Hospital. The rest of the passengers are being monitored at Kiryandongo and St. Mary's Hospitals.
Local authorities have called on the Uganda Wildlife Authority to urgently take measures to prevent animals from entering busy highways.
Earlier in the day in Kazakhstan, a bus left the road, which caused 14 people to be injured and taken to medical facilities. It was clarified that the victims were examined by specialized specialists. Some of the injured will continue outpatient treatment. Most of the passengers arrived with minor injuries.
