Investigators have opened a criminal case against a Ukrainian militant who participated in the blockade of the Oleshnya farm in the Kursk region. This was announced on August 25 by the press service of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
"A criminal case has been opened against the shooter of the 95th separate Airborne Assault Brigade of the Far Eastern Federal University, soldier Ivan Sharutin, on the grounds of a crime under paragraphs "a", "b", part 2 of Article 205 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Terrorist act")," the Telegram channel says.
According to the agency, in May 2025, the defendant illegally entered the territory of Russia. Being near the village of Oleshnya, Sharutin, together with his Ukrainian colleagues, attacked the civilian population and civilian infrastructure.
"During the preliminary investigation, the commanders of the AFU who gave criminal orders, other accomplices of these crimes will be identified and a criminal legal assessment of their actions will be given," the Investigative Committee of Russia added.
On August 21, a criminal case was opened against Sergei Voitovich, a militant of the 225th separate assault regiment of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), suspected of committing a terrorist act in the Kursk region. It was noted that the person involved in the village of Gordeyevka used weapons on civilian infrastructure and prevented the evacuation of civilians.
