KAMAZ has decided to cancel the order to switch to a three-day working week, the introduction of which has been under consideration since September. The main divisions of the company related to the production of trucks will continue to operate in the current mode. The press service of the Naberezhnye Chelny auto giant announced this on August 25.

KAMAZ said that the market has begun to stabilize "at low levels." The measures taken by the management allow the company to feel more confident than other market players. The market share continues to grow and additional orders are attracted. KAMAZ has started forming a production plan for October. There is reason to believe that production capacity will increase in October, they said.

However, as the manufacturer emphasized, the market situation remains tense. In June, the drop in the truck market over 14 tons will be almost 60%. The remnants of importers, which, according to KAMAZ marketers, amount to over 20 thousand units, also continue to have a negative impact on the market. Leasing companies have accumulated more than 10 thousand pieces of equipment in their warehouses.

On July 25, KAMAZ announced the transition to a one-day working week starting on August 1, including due to the lack of market growth prospects, and Gorky Automobile Plant announced a similar decision the day before.

Prior to that, on August 2, it became known that UAZ and other Sollers production sites are not planning to switch to a four-day working week now.

AvtoVAZ announced on July 22 that it was also considering switching to a four-day working week. The automaker cited the high key rate and stricter regulatory requirements for car loan borrowers as the reasons for the difficult market situation.
