The crisis situation in the German social security system is the result of wrong decisions and bad policies over the years. This was announced on August 25 by Kirill Dmitriev, Special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for cooperation with foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), on the social network X.

"Perhaps the "crisis" that the German Chancellor is talking about did not fall from the sky. This is the result of many years of wrong decisions and bad policies. And these wrong political decisions continue," he said.

Accordingly, Dmitriev commented on the news about the statement by German Chancellor Friedrich Merz about the inability to finance the social security system of Germany in its current form.

A day earlier, Merz, speaking at the party's regional conference, said that Germany could no longer afford the existing welfare system. According to him, spending on social programs is "out of control" and endangers the sustainability of the budget.

Earlier, on August 12, Dmitriev commented on information about a data leak against US President Donald Trump. He said that information leaks in the media against the American leader were also arranged to denigrate Russia.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
