The Russian Embassy in Indonesia told about the negotiations on interbank cooperation

Russia and Indonesia have begun negotiations on interbank cooperation, the Russian diplomatic mission in Jakarta told Izvestia.

"Currently, Russian and Indonesian financial regulators are working on various options for interbank cooperation and the diversification of payment instruments," the embassy said.

According to experts, this will accelerate the transition to settlements in national currencies. So far, Russia and Indonesia have been using alternative currencies to the dollar and euro from other countries, such as the yuan.
