The International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has vaguely announced attacks by the Kiev regime on nuclear infrastructure facilities. Mikhail Ulyanov, Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to International Organizations in Vienna, wrote about this on August 24 in the social network X (former. Twitter).

This is how he commented on the agency's reaction to the attack by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) on the Kursk Nuclear Power Plant (NPP).

"As always, the IAEA is very vague about the Ukrainian attacks on nuclear infrastructure facilities," he said.

The agency reported that it had received information about a fire at the Kursk nuclear power plant after the fall of an APU drone earlier in the day. At the same time, they stressed that they have no independent confirmation of these reports.

On the same day, air defense systems eliminated a drone over the Kursk NPP. During the fall, the drone detonated, which caused damage to the transformer.

According to Rosenergoatom, due to a transformer fire, unit No. 3 was half unloaded. The radiation background at the industrial site and the surrounding area did not change and corresponds to natural values.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
