A carbon dioxide tank exploded in an accident in the Nizhny Novgorod region

In the Arzamas district of the Nizhny Novgorod region, one person was killed, two more were injured due to a collision between a truck and a truck with a tank with liquefied carbon dioxide, which later exploded. This was announced on August 23 by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the region.

According to preliminary information, on 427 km of the M-12 highway in Arzamas district, a truck driver collided with a truck carrier.

"As a result of the collision of a truck with an auto carrier, an explosion of a tank with liquefied carbon dioxide occurred," the Telegram channel reported.

It is specified that the driver of the gas carrier died from his injuries at the scene. In addition, one person and a child were injured. They received the necessary medical care.

At the moment, law enforcement officers are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

Earlier, on August 23, two cars collided in the Saratov region, as a result of the incident, one person was killed and seven others were injured. It was clarified that the incident occurred in the Gagarin district, on the R-228 highway, near the fork in Bazarny Karabulak.
