Rodion Miroshnik, the Russian Foreign Ministry's Ambassador-at-large for crimes committed by the Kiev regime, expressed regret over the death of journalist Kirill Vyshinsky. On August 23, the diplomat wrote about this in his Telegram channel.

"The miracle did not happen. But I wanted to!" he wrote, commenting on the news of the journalist's passing.

Miroshnik called Vyshinsky his friend, colleague and colleague.

Vyshinsky died on August 23 in Moscow after a serious and prolonged illness. He has worked on Ukrainian TV channels since 1996, and in 2006 became the Kiev correspondent for VGTRK. After the events of 2014, he became the head of the Ukrainian branch of RIA Novosti.

Later, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that Vyshinsky fought against those who do not respect freedom of speech, and his death is a huge loss for world journalism. She noted that Vyshinsky, despite having been "imprisoned by the Kiev regime," found the strength after his release to continue fighting for others, for his comrades.
