Forecasters predicted rain and up to +20 degrees in Moscow on August 23

Cloudy with clarifications, light rain in places in the region — this weather awaits residents of the capital region on Saturday, August 23. The corresponding forecast is published on the website of the Hydrometeorological Center.

The air temperature in Moscow will range from +18 to +20 degrees during the day. At night, the thermometer will drop to +8.

In the Moscow region, it will be from +15 to +20 degrees during the day, and at night the temperature may drop to +5.

A northerly wind with a speed of 6-11 m/s is expected, with gusts of up to 15 m/s in places.

The atmospheric pressure will be 739 mmHg.

The heat in Central Russia will return only at the end of August and will remain at the beginning of September, meteorologists believe.

Earlier, on August 21, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, reported that August 2025 was among the ten rainiest in Moscow since the beginning of the 21st century before the end of the month, while rains are still expected in the remaining decade.

Before that, on August 19, the Meteonosti agency reported that it was not worth counting on the continuation of summer in September. At the same time, forecasters did not rule out that a short warm weather is possible in early autumn.
