Russia and Mexico will start cooperation in the field of high technologies
Russia and Mexico are interested in establishing cooperation in the field of information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals. This was stated to Izvestia by the Russian embassy in the country.
"In August 2025, a business mission of Moscow companies through the Moscow Export Center visited Mexico City. Within the framework of this mission, companies from the sectors of information technology, medicine and pharmaceuticals interested in establishing cooperation with Mexican partners were represented. The delegation's visit is timed to coincide with the ExpoMed international exhibition, which annually gathers the leading players in the Latin American medical market," the diplomatic mission noted.
The embassy said that such initiatives are important for strengthening economic ties and diversifying mutual trade, for the development of non-primary and high-tech exports from Russia.
At the same time, the Mexican Embassy in Moscow noted the high potential of the markets of both countries, and also noted that the level of trade has grown significantly over the past 15 years from just over $500 million in 2009 to $2 billion per year from 2021.
