SpaceX launches X-37B unmanned spaceplane
SpaceX, the space company of American billionaire and entrepreneur Elon Musk, has launched the X-37B spacecraft into low-Earth orbit. This was reported by the NSF newspaper on August 22.
"The reusable X-37B orbital test vehicle of the US Department of Defense has completed its eighth flight into orbit...> X-37B was launched on a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket from launch complex 39A of the Kennedy Space Center on Thursday, August 21, at 11:50 p.m. (August 22 at 06:50 Moscow time - Ed.)," the material says.
It is noted that the duration of the launch window was just under four hours.
On June 19, SpaceX's Starship 36 heavy launch vehicle exploded during a static fire test. The rocket underwent static firing tests at the Starbase test site. During the live broadcast, the first stage of the accelerator suddenly exploded, and a serious fuel leak began in the second stage. After that, Starship 36 went out of control and exploded upon re-entry into the atmosphere.
