- The State Duma proposed to tighten the law for the illegal installation of the sign "Disabled"
In the State Duma (the State Duma) The Russian Federation is considering a draft law, according to which a fine will be increased for the illegal installation of the "Disabled" sign, and a driver's license will be revoked for repeated violations. On August 22, Yaroslav Nilov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Labor, Social Policy and Veterans' Affairs, and Mikhail Terentyev, Deputy Chairman of the committee, sent a similar bill to the government.
According to the document reviewed by the TASS news agency, it is proposed to amend Article 12.4 of the Code of Administrative Offences of the Russian Federation. Thus, it is proposed to impose a fine for citizens in the amount of 15 thousand rubles or the deprivation of a driver's license for a period of one to three months. A fine of 40 thousand rubles is provided for officials, and 1 million rubles for legal entities. In this case, the car in which the offenses will be committed will be confiscated.
The State Duma noted that such a bill would create favorable conditions for the movement of people with disabilities in a vehicle.
Earlier, on August 7, a bill was submitted to the State Duma on the abolition of fines for tinting and tuning cars. It was noted that tinting should be acceptable because it reduces exposure to ultraviolet rays. Accordingly, both drivers and passengers can be protected from harmful solar radiation.
