An earthquake of magnitude 5.3 was recorded in the Kamchatka Territory. This was reported on August 22 in the Telegram channel of the Kamchatka branch of the FIT of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

It is specified that a 5.3 magnitude seismic event was registered 96 km from the city of Severo-Kurilsk. The intensity of earth tremors is estimated at 3-4 points.
