The Foreign Ministry announced Putin's readiness to meet with Zelensky while working out all issues.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is ready to hold talks with Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky if all issues requiring discussion at the highest level are well worked out. This was announced on August 21 by Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov at a press conference following a meeting with his Indian counterpart Subramaniam Jaishankari.

"Our president has repeatedly said that he is ready to meet, including with Mr. Zelensky, with the understanding that all issues that require consideration at the highest level will be well worked out and experts and ministers will prepare appropriate recommendations," Lavrov said, answering a question from a correspondent of Izvestia.

Lavrov also recalled that the Ukrainian leader has not yet revoked the decree, which explicitly prohibits contact with the President of the Russian Federation.
