The Bion-M satellite No. 2 with mice and fruit flies went into orbit
The Soyuz-2.1b launch vehicle with the Bion-M biological satellite No. 2, with 75 mice and about 1.5 thousand fruit flies on board, launched from the Baikonur cosmodrome on August 20.
In addition, the biosatellite will deliver plants and microorganisms into orbit.
On August 19, the Roscosmos state Corporation announced that as part of the project, scientists will be able to observe living organisms inside and study the effects of radiation and other aspects of space flight.
