The Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation has prepared a list of patriotic literature for extracurricular reading by the beginning of the school year. The relevant information was published on the agency's website on August 20.

"By the beginning of the new academic year, the Russian Ministry of Education has prepared recommendations on scientific and methodological support for the activities of school libraries, as well as a list of works for extracurricular patriotic reading created by modern writers," the report says.

According to the department, the methodological recommendations are aimed at providing practical assistance in matters of modernization, as well as improving the quality of library and information services and strengthening the material and technical equipment of school libraries.

The literature was prepared in accordance with the age category of schoolchildren: for elementary, primary and senior schools. In particular, students in grades 10-11 were advised to familiarize themselves with works related to the history and special military operation (SVO).
