Soldiers of the Russian Armed Forces shared the details of the liberation of the village of Voronoe

The details of the liberation of the village of Voronoye in the Dnipropetrovsk region were told by the military personnel of the Vostok group of forces. On Wednesday, August 20, the Russian Defense Ministry showed footage of Russian artillery and unmanned aerial attack aircraft.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) retreated beyond the village, Russian military personnel carried out a sweep of buildings in the village and the forest belts around it. Now the enemy has been deprived of another point of defense, and the positions of the Russian army in the Dnipropetrovsk region continue to strengthen.

"The enemy was snapping, fighting for every meter of the ground. Mortars, numerous UAVs were working, and there were contact battles. The area around it was mined, the enemy dug into bunkers and fortifications. There are such ardent Nazis who, either out of fanaticism or under the influence of drugs, get up to their deaths and do not give up. There is only one way to deal with them — contact combat," said the commander of the assault group with the call sign Angel.

According to him, the enemy had weapons provided by NATO countries, but they did not bring results. Angel explained that Russian-made weapons and equipment are more reliable, they do not fail during active daily operation.

The platoon commander with the call sign Orel noted that the NATO equipment that was available to the Ukrainian Armed Forces in Voronoi, in addition, does not shoot at short distances and is designed to conduct combat in other terrain. There are forest belts around the village, which complicated the enemy's task. As a result, only the drones worked well for them.

"From the very beginning, when training at the training ground, we prepare for each task, we consider different scenarios. It helps in battle: skills are practiced, and the fighting spirit allows you to go only with the mindset to win and come back victorious," said Orel.

Earlier, on August 19, soldiers of the 36th Guards Motorized Rifle Brigade of the Vostok group of forces shared details of the liberation of the settlement of Alexandrograd in the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR). It was noted that a special role during the assault was played by UAV operators who conducted aerial reconnaissance and destroyed equipment and personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Prior to that, on August 18, soldiers of the 36th Guards Brigade of the Vostok group of forces told the details of the liberation of the settlement of Iskra in the Yuzhnodonetsky direction. It is noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces use exclusively NATO-made weapons, because they do not have their own left.
