Volvo terminated the contract with the dealer who sold the truck to Russia

Volvo Trucks has stopped supplying vehicles to a dealer who shipped the truck to Russia to circumvent sanctions. According to the representative of the brand Claes Eliasson, the authorities of the country where the seller is located have already been notified of the violation of sanctions, and they have launched an investigation. This was reported by the Swedish edition of Aftonbladet, <url> Magazine reports on August 19.

Eliasson did not name the foreign intermediary who participated in the deal, as well as the country where the company is located. It was possible to determine which of the Volvo Trucks dealers the truck went to, among other things, due to the characteristic coloring of the cabin.

The fact of the deal became known in May of this year. The Russian Ski Racing Federation (FLGR) has published on its website the news about the acquisition of a Volvo FH16 truck. The tractor truck has become part of the technical support of the Russian national team — a team of service personnel who prepare skis for athletes works in an equipped service trailer. FLGR named not only the Volvo model, but also the Russian company from which it was purchased.
