- NPFs have earned more than 20% of income for Russians under the long-term savings program
In January-June, the profitability of the long-term savings program (CDS) averaged 20% per annum (excluding fund remuneration), exceeding inflation. This is evidenced by the results of a survey of 16 non-governmental pension funds (NPFs) conducted by RBC Investments.
According to their data, NPFs earned from 17.12% to 26.7% per annum in the first half of the year. 13 of the 16 funds showed results at the level of 20-21% per annum.
Representatives of the funds clarified that the interim return for six months is a technical indicator of how funds are being invested now and what profitability is currently shown by those financial instruments in which clients' money is invested. The final result will be available only at the end of the year, when the income from the investments will be credited to the accounts.
VTB NPF told Izvestia that more than 1 million clients of the fund have allocated 70 billion rubles to the long-term savings program since April 2024.
"Today, the SDS is the most promising funded product with government co—financing, significant tax benefits and good profitability. It is suitable for people of different ages and allows you to form a safety cushion for the future, save up for your children's education or for a large purchase. We expect that after the payment of state support in August, the popularity of the PDS will increase," said Andrey Osipov, CEO of VTB Pension Fund.
