On August 12, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan announced the evacuation of an injured 72-year-old Russian man and his son from a mountain peak in the Talgar district of the country's Almaty region. Rescuers provided first aid to the victim and carried out an urgent transportation downstairs, as his condition worsened. The rescue operation lasted more than 13 hours.
