18 million users have registered in the MAX messenger. This was announced on August 19 in the press service of the application.

"Since the launch of the messenger, users have sent more than 200 million messages and made about 30 million calls, including group video calls. The average duration of a voice call was eight minutes, and a group call was almost 47.5 minutes. The number of group chats has exceeded 700,000," the message says.

It is specified that residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Samara, Krasnodar, Yekaterinburg and Kazan register most actively in the messenger. The Android operating system accounts for 73% of the total number of registered users, iOS — 26%, the remaining 1% were computer users.

Also, over 300 authors took part in channel testing in MAX, which started on July 14. Among them are well-known bloggers, media outlets, influencers and agencies, including Izvestia, RIA Novosti, RT in Russian, Artemy Lebedev, Valya Carnival, Sber, Aviasales, Golden Apple and others.

Earlier, on August 15, MAX topped the rating of free apps in the Russian segments of Google Play and AppStore stores. Prior to that, on August 6, Alexander Khaminsky, head of the Law Enforcement Center in Moscow and the Moscow Region, announced that the mandatory pre-installation of MAX on all new smartphones in Russia would begin on September 1.
