Large-scale failures in Starlink operation have been recorded
The Starlink satellite communication system of the American company SpaceX has experienced failures around the world. This was reported on August 18 on the official website of Downdetector, which monitors failures and outages of popular Internet resources.
It is noted that the failures occurred at 20.20 Moscow time. Complaints about the poor quality of the communication system were received from the USA, Canada, Great Britain, Germany, Mexico and other countries.
Earlier, on July 25, it was reported that American billionaire Elon Musk disrupted the Ukrainian Armed Forces counteroffensive in 2022 by disabling Starlink. According to three sources, the Ukrainian military faced operational difficulties after the systems were shut down, temporary disruption of reconnaissance drones and difficulties with target designation for precision weapons were reported. In total, more than 100 terminals were disabled.
