A garbage truck hit a pedestrian while reversing in the Tula region. The injured man died.
The incident occurred in the village of Strakhovo. According to TSN24, the 45-year-old garbage truck driver was backing up and did not notice a pedestrian who was walking in the same direction.
A 29-year-old man died on the spot from his injuries. An accident investigation is underway.
Over the weekend, 716 road accidents occurred on the roads of Russia, in which 77 people were killed and 899 injured. As a result of 124 incidents, 16 pedestrians were killed and 113 pedestrians were injured.
