AvtoVAZ resumed production after vacation
AvtoVAZ has come out of a planned corporate vacation. All divisions resumed their work according to the standard work schedule. This was reported to Izvestia on August 18 by the company's press service.
From July 28 to August 17, AvtoVAZ, the Lada Izhevsk plant and the Tolyatti company's divisions were on corporate leave.
During the three-week break, it was planned to carry out repairs, maintenance and modernization of technological equipment and tooling at the company's enterprises. Work was also planned to improve the working conditions of employees. The automaker promised to tell about the results of these works later.
During the same period, Avtozavod Saint Petersburg, which previously produced Nissan cars, went on corporate leave, and since last year the domestic Xcite brand has been registered there. In September, Lada Iskra is scheduled to be delivered to the assembly line of the St. Petersburg enterprise.
Prior to that, on July 22, AvtoVAZ announced that it was considering switching to a four-day working week. The automaker cited the high key rate and stricter regulatory requirements for car loan borrowers as the reasons for the difficult market situation.
