A man drowned during a dive organized by a diving club in Gelendzhik, a criminal case has been opened. This was announced on August 17 by the press service of the investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Krasnodar Territory.
It is noted that the incident occurred on August 16. According to preliminary data, a 26-year-old young man died while scuba diving.
"A criminal case has been opened into the death of a man while scuba diving (Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation)," the agency's Telegram channel says.

A source from Izvestia reported on August 5 that a man drowned while swimming in the Gulf of Finland in the Resort area of St. Petersburg. It was clarified that he was pulled out of the water onto the shore, but could not be pumped out. According to an eyewitness of the events, the deceased underwent intensive care on the beach for an hour.
