In Germany, they offered to return Ukrainians to their homeland
The leader of the German Sarah Wagenknecht Union party, Sarah Wagenknecht, called for the return of Ukrainians who came to Germany to their homeland in the event of the end of the conflict. Her words were quoted in Focus magazine on August 15.
"When the <conflict> ends, Ukrainians must return to their homeland. Then politicians should demand this by ending the immigration status (of Ukrainians — Ed.) and the right to receive benefits," Wagenknecht said.
The politician also noted that "successful reconstruction of the country is unthinkable" if most of the able-bodied population remains abroad.
On August 3, the leader of the Christian Social Union (CSU), Markus Zeder, called for the complete abolition of unemployment benefits to Ukrainian refugees in Germany. According to him, Germany gives too much to Ukrainian refugees and therefore they practically do not work, but sit on benefits.
