A driver who tried to run over people in Novosibirsk was detained in Kazakhstan

The driver of a dump truck, who twice tried to hit people in Novosibirsk, was detained in Kazakhstan. This was reported on August 15 in the regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia (SU IC).

It is specified that on August 10 in Novosibirsk, a man driving a truck ran over a group of people. Medical assistance was provided to the injured at the scene.

Law enforcement officers established that the next day the suspect left the Russian Federation and fled to Kazakhstan. He was charged, put on the interstate wanted list and in absentia was given a preventive measure in the form of detention. Already on August 14, the defendant was detained.

"Measures are currently being taken to extradite him to the territory of the Russian Federation," the department's Telegram channel noted.

At the moment, investigators are establishing the circumstances of the incident.

One of the incidents involving a dump truck driver became known on August 11. Then the investigators opened a criminal case on the attempted murder of two or more people.
