The launch date of the JAC diesel pickup truck in Russia has been revealed

Sales of the new JAC T9 TDi in Russia will begin on August 19, 2025. This was reported by the press service of the Chinese automaker.

The JAC T9 TDi is equipped with a 163 hp engine with a maximum torque of 410 Nm combined with an updated 8-speed automatic transmission. The diesel T9 is easily distinguished from the gasoline version by the black grille rather than the chrome radiator and the JAC logo, which is black instead of red in the new version.

The JAC T9 TDi pickup is equipped with a Drive Mode system that allows you to choose different driving modes: Normal (balanced), Sport (sharp reactions, disabling some assistants), Eco (maximum fuel efficiency) and Snow (optimization for slippery roads, sand and virgin snow).

The dimensions of the pickup are 5330×1965× 1880 mm, and the wheelbase of 3110 mm is one of the largest in the class. The angle of entry of the car is 27°, the exit is 23°, the lift is 30°, and the ground clearance is 210 mm. The pickup truck is promised to be able to overcome ford depths up to 800 mm.

The extended winter options package includes 3-stage heated front seats, electrically heated side mirrors and heated rear window. The price of the car is 3.66 million rubles, taking into account the benefits.

Zoya Kaika, Deputy General Director of Sollers, said on July 9 that the development of a new SUV of the Russian brand Sollers is planned to be completed at the beginning of the fourth quarter of this year.

The launch of the model in 2026 will be carried out according to the full production cycle, including stamping of body elements at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant. On January 30 of this year, Sollers launched production of all-wheel drive Sollers ST6 and ST8 pickups using full-cycle technology at the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant, these models are based on JAC. A new SUV is also being developed based on the Sollers ST9/JAC T9.
