According to Russian presidential aide Yuri Ushakov, on August 15, Putin and Trump will hold face-to-face talks, and then continue the discussion as part of the delegations during a working breakfast. On the Russian side, the summit will be attended by Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Finance Minister Anton Siluanov, Special Presidential Envoy for cooperation with Foreign countries and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF) Kirill Dmitriev, as well as Ushakov himself.
The United States will be represented by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Treasury Scott Bessant, Secretary of Commerce Howard Latnick, and Director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) John Ratcliffe.
According to Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov, the talks between Trump and Putin could last 6-7 hours. Their main topic will be the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Broader issues in the field of peace and security will also be discussed. According to Kirill Dmitriev, it is planned to discuss the restoration of relations between Russia and the United States.
